The Azerbaijan National H-index Ranking was updated in the fourth quarter of 2024. We invite you to read the current list of the ten best universities in the country according to the h-index.

Top 10 best universities in Azerbaijan
An objective ranking system based on the Hirsch index is used to assess the scientific effectiveness and publication activities of educational institutions in Azerbaijan. This is the Azerbaijan National H-index Ranking. This national ranking has become a key indicator that helps determine the academic prestige and scientific achievements of Azerbaijani universities.
The peculiarity of the h-index is that it takes into account two important aspects: the total number of published papers and the frequency of their citation by other scientists. This allows us to comprehensively assess the impact of universities both in the domestic and international scientific space.
The ranking presents the performance of educational institutions in four categories, including:
- National H-index.
- H-index in the Scopus database.
- H-index in the Web of Science.
- H-index according to Google Scholar.
Due to this comprehensive approach, it is possible to obtain a comprehensive assessment of the scientific productivity of leading Azerbaijani higher education institutions.
