As a result of the update of the Azerbaijan National H-index Ranking in the fourth quarter, there were changes in the list of leading scientific organisations in the country. Thus, the Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan moved down one position, giving way to the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, which topped the ranking.

The top ten educational institutions remained virtually unchanged, but Azerbaijan State Economic University showed significant progress in scientific activity. Its National H-index increased from 34 to 38, which allowed the university to strengthen its position in the ranking. Other higher education institutions also showed an increase in indicators, indicating an improvement in their scientific productivity.
