International cooperation in the field of science and education plays an important role in the foreign policy strategy and strengthening the country's authority in the international arena. Thanks to a successful foreign policy strategy, Azerbaijan has entered a qualitatively new stage of its socio-economic development. - Increasing the authority of research of Azerbaijani scientists through inclusion of articles in international databases such as: Scopus, Web of Science, "Google Scholar".
Results of integration of the Republic of Azerbaijan into the international scientific community
As a result of educational reforms to increase international scientific ties, the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan became an official member of:
- Association of Asian Academies and Societies of Sciences (AASSA)
- Eurasian Union of Universities (EURAS)
- International Scientific Council.
In addition, important achievements in the field of international scientific cooperation were:
- Membership of the publishing house of ANAS "Elm" in the European Association of Scientific Editors
- signing of documents with the academies of sciences of Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Croatia and universities of Uzbekistan
- Expansion of scientific cooperation with the Republic of Turkey and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan
